Tampa Bay Taps – Center for Tap Dance

Fostering tap dance culture and community in Central Florida

Under Ashlyn Bolton’s direction, Rhythm & Sole Tap Ensemble’s mission is to pass along tap traditions as they mesmerize audiences with their feet. Past appearances by the Ensemble include performances at Walt Disney World, The Big Apple Tap Festival at the Alvin Ailey Theater, Tap City in New York City, opening for Ruth Eckerd Hall’s Friends of Music concert series (including Chris Daughtry and Counting Crows), featuring in a music video by indie band Infinite Eights, and many others.

The youth tap repertoire includes cutting-edge choreography in everything from classical jazz to musical theater, hip-hop and funk. Through education, performing, presenting tap events, collaborating with other artists, and by investing in talented youth, this Ensemble strives to promote, expand and preserve the American art form of tap dance. Enrollment is by audition only. Rhythm & Sole was founded by Beth Caprio.
